The Service
Surface ("the Service") is a content discovery platform operated by Unsupervised Learning LLC. We aggregate publicly available content from across the web, score it using AI on multiple quality dimensions, and present it through a personalized feed.
Account
You sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. One account per person. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Subscription and Payment
Access to the content feed requires a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew annually unless canceled. All sales are final — we do not offer refunds. If something isn't working, contact us and we will fix it.
Content
Surface aggregates and scores content from third-party sources. We do not claim ownership of third-party content. AI-generated summaries, scores, and labels are provided for informational purposes. Links direct you to the original source.
Acceptable Use
You may not: scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Service; share your account credentials; redistribute content feeds commercially; attempt to reverse-engineer the scoring system; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Content sources, scoring models, and features may change as we improve the product. We ship updates frequently and will communicate material changes.
Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is." We are not liable for any decisions you make based on content displayed through Surface. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your current subscription period.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
